Review by hotel critic
During our recent stay at the Ballinalacken Castle Country House Hotel, my husband, our son, and I were treated to a cozy retreat that beautifully melded history with modern comfort. The hotel's stately interiors showcased charming period décor, complete with stunning views of the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands, making it the perfect backdrop for my attempts to capture the rugged beauty of the landscape through my lens. Each morning, we savored the exceptional breakfast that featured local delights like Clonakilty black pudding, and the dining room offered breathtaking views that made every meal feel like a special occasion. the O'Callaghan family's warm hospitality truly made us feel at home, and we particularly enjoyed the complimentary guided tour of the ancient castle-an experience that added a unique layer to our stay. For anyone seeking a base from which to explore the enchanting Burren region, I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem for its charm, comfort, and captivating scenery.
